Educators and Parents

Audience:

Early childhood educators and parents

Challenge:

To familiarize educators and parents with typical developmental milestones and promote early intervention by urging developmental screenings

The JMH Solution:

JMH created a teacher-empowerment program that equips early childhood educators to speak with a child's parents when they suspect a developmental delay. Components include a bilingual Training DVD that engages teachers through real-life situations and strategies; a Take-Home "Milestone Map" (in English and Spanish) for parents; a Call-to-Action for educators; and a custom Web Landing Page. JMH aligned the program messages with the CDC's National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities' "Learn the Signs. Act Early." Campaign.
