Audience:

Health professionals, community educators, health management organizations/companies, consumers and at-risk populations

Challenge:

To provide practical, grassroots information to help alleviate the higher incidence of asthma among inner-city children; and to reach African-American, Hispanic, and Vietnamese parents with culturally appropriate, actionable messages

The JMH Solution:

JMH assembled a committee of stakeholders to serve as the Cleaning Guidelines Expert Panel. With the goal of building a health-based grassroots program, JMH synthesized the committee's input and created a phased strategy for the campaign:

• Phase I - Educate the Educators
• Phase II - Expand Outreach to At-Risk Populations

The resulting program was focus-tested at every step with these target audiences. The final components include a reference manual, consumer booklets in multiple languages, PowerPoint® presentation, and a magnet give-away.
