This Seed Career Program promotes the relevance and importance of careers in the seed industry to high school and college students and their parents.
The JMH Solution:
JMH created the GROW Seed Career Program to appeal to the workers of the future: the youngest members of the Millennial Generation. They are the first generation to have spent their entire lives with technology and "instant media." Working with its Teacher Advisory Board, JMH focused on the high-tech aspects of the seed industry, the important role science and technology play in the field, and the critical role of seeds in providing food, fuel and fiber to the world.
Components include a custom Program Logo, a Website with hands-on information for students, teachers and parents, a DVD with downloadable materials, and the Career Handbook for Counselors and Advisors. The handbook promotes the relevance of the seed industry and includes ready-to-use such career exploration tools. A step-by-step plan to assist parents in guiding their children as they consider careers in the seed industry is also included.
