At-risk middle school students
Challenge:
To ultimately lower the high school dropout rate by convincing at-risk middle school students to stay in school and get their high school diplomas.
The JMH Solution:
Stepping outside the box, JMH created a lively card game called Real Deal. The overall approach is to engage students in developing their own stay-in-school strategies while having fun. JMH formed a partnership with American School Counselors Association (ASCA) for development and dissemination. The program includes a card game and leader's guide for middle school counselors and their students.
